Жълто-зелена Жмуда

or yellow-green zhmuda. is the name of a friend of mine whom i up until today have simply called "Rrhalhalahlhalhaahlala". suddenly having a real name for her doesn't change anything, as she is called Rositsa here in norway.

now that Ive started writing in english for our MASSIVE foreign audience, i might as well continue. and so i shall, HAHA! tremble in Strahlivets(grammar is not for me) you fiendish blog, we are going global!

naming conventions in norwegian can be a bit weird, i think. we have this postfix to some organizations like "postvesen" or "vegvesen", alright post is the same in norwegian and english, "veg" is norwegian for road. And then we come to the fun part, "vesen" means creature or being in norwegian, sometimes even beast.

think about in the old days when the roads were being built. in this far away hard to reach place a stranger walks in, and tells them the road creature is coming to pave way for - well road. how do you think the village elders would react? this makes me feel a bit sorry for the danish trying to civilize us barbaric norwegians...

i may just have to eat those words, great dinner then.

about the postcreature, i was going to snail mail this suitcase in the form of a flight case or maybe its a flight case in the form of a suitcase? anyway, my suitflightcase / flightsuitcase was to big for any of the boxes there, so i thought: this is a sturdy flight(suit)case with butterfly locks, i dont need to wrap this to mail it. it turned out that would cost me 100nok,- more than if i were to wrap it in a thin layer of plastic - hooray for the environment!

and while I'm in this whining rant: the ticket system for NSB, especially the "automatic" ticket vendors SUCK. period.
